Manual trigger from dashboard

Trigger the automation manually for a specific member from the Spokk dashboard. Useful for walk-ins, one-off follow-ups, or situations where the QR scan was missed.

What check-in also does

Every check-in does three things simultaneously: (1) starts the automation sequence, (2) increments the loyalty visit count and checks for milestone rewards, and (3) logs the visit to the contact record. One scan, three systems, zero manual work.

The defaults work. But every part of it is yours to change.

The out-of-the-box sequence works immediately for most yoga studios. But if you want to tune it — different timing, your studio's voice, a custom step for new members — the flow builder gives you full control.

Adjust timing

Change the feedback request to 4 hours instead of 2. Move the review nudge to 5 days. Adjust referral to 30 days. Every delay is configurable in hours or days.

What SMS messages does Spokk send automatically for yoga studios?+
The default sequence sends: (1) a feedback request 2 hours after class, with a personalized link; (2) a feedback reminder 24 hours after class if they have not yet submitted; (3) a Google review nudge 3 days after class if feedback was submitted but the review link was not clicked; and (4) a referral request 20 days after class. If they clicked the Google review link, the 3-day nudge is skipped. If they replied STOP, all remaining messages are cancelled. This prevents over-messaging and keeps opt-out rates low.
Can I customize the SMS messages for my yoga studio?+
Yes. Every message template is fully editable. You can change the wording, the timing, and which steps are active. Templates support dynamic variables: {{name}} inserts the member's name, {{company}} inserts your studio name, and {{link}} inserts the relevant URL.
Does Spokk work with Mindbody?+
Yes. Spokk connects to Mindbody via Zapier or Pabbly — no coding required. When a class attendance is marked in Mindbody, the integration triggers Spokk's automation sequence automatically. The same approach works for Acuity Scheduling, Jane App, and thousands of other booking tools.
What if a member attends class multiple times a week?+
You can set a feedback cooldown in Spokk — a minimum number of days that must pass before the automation re-triggers for a member who already went through the sequence. This prevents frequent visitors from being messaged after every single class. You set the cooldown period to whatever makes sense for your studio.
Can I add custom steps beyond the default sequence?+
Yes. The Spokk flow builder lets you add custom SMS steps with your own message and timing. For example, a welcome message for first-time visitors, a workshop invitation 7 days after their first class, or a win-back message for members who have not been back in 45 days.
Is the SMS number a dedicated number for my studio?+
For US and Canadian studios, Spokk provisions a dedicated toll-free number for your studio on paid plans. During the 14-day free trial, messages come from a shared Spokk number. International studios can use their own Twilio credentials.
How does SMS automation connect to the loyalty and referral programs?+
They all run on the same backbone. The check-in that triggers the automation also increments the loyalty visit count and checks for milestone rewards. The referral step in the sequence sends the member their unique referral code. Every message is tracked per contact, so nothing overlaps.
Can members opt out of messages?+
Yes. Members can reply STOP to any message and they will never receive another automated message. Opt-out is recorded at the contact level in Spokk, and all remaining automation steps for that contact are permanently cancelled.
