When is the referral link sent?
The referral SMS is sent 20 days after a customer's check-in, as part of the automated sequence. This timing is intentional — it gives the customer enough time to form a positive impression before asking them to share.
How does Spokk track referrals?
Each customer receives a unique referral link. When a new customer uses that link to visit, the referral is automatically tracked and attributed to the original customer.
What rewards can I offer?
You define the reward description and terms yourself. It can be a discount, a free item, store credit — anything that works for your business. Spokk doesn't handle the actual reward fulfilment, just the notification and tracking.
Can I use referrals without the full automation sequence?
Currently referrals are sent as part of the automation sequence. Enabling automation is required to use the referral feature.
Does the referee (new customer) also receive a reward?
Yes. You set a reward description for the new customer as well. When they visit using the referral link, they'll know what reward to expect and how to redeem it.
